A Home for Something Unknown

A Home for Something Unknown presents works by 26 international artists awarded the visual arts work stipend of the Berlin Senate: Yalda Afsah, Taslima Ahmed, Douglas Boatwright, Yvon Chabrowski, Beth Collar, Armin Lorenz Gerold, Rosanna Graf, Line Skywalker Karlström, Mazen Kerbaj, Dina Khouri, Bob Kil, Bitsy Knox, Vera Lutz, Katharina Mercedes Marszewski, José Montealegre, Marcela Moraga, Christophe Ndabananiye, Lucas Odahara, Emeka Okereke, Mooni Perry, Shirin Sabahi, Romana Schmalisch & Robert Schlicht, Paola Yacoub, Bassem Yousri, Sati Zech.

This publication brings together installation views of both exhibition parts at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein and Haus am Lützowplatz. Five essays by invited authors Kim de l’Horizon, Park Hye-in, Yan Lin, Charmaine Poh, and Feng You broaden the contextual horizons of the artistic works. Writing from a first-person perspective, the authors consider the concept of home from diverse angles, sharing deeply personal insights that reveal home to be an idea that remains inherently elusive.

The publication can be purchased at local bookshops, via the website of Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König, and at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein. Members of Neuer Berliner Kunstverein can buy the book at n.b.k. for the special price of 15.00 Euro.
