Gunter Krüger (*1971 in Henningsdorf / Germany, lives in Berlin) primarily works with film and television footage, uncovering hidden layers of meaning. He cuts the pieces of processed material together in such a way that it is heavily condensed, compressed, or equalized. In more recent works, Krüger also archives media fragments like broken audiotapes and VHS cassettes or CDs that he finds on the street, combining them with filmic notes of the scenes.
