Dieter Kiessling


Dieter Kiessling (*1954 in Münster / Germany, lives in Düsseldorf / Germany) studied at the Kunstakademie Münster / Germany. In his closed-circuit installations, photographs, and sculptures, he poses questions about the transitory nature of the experience of everyday life and the media. His videos also frequently refer to processes of production. Thematically, his work explores the conditions of image production and the entanglement of reality and fiction. In 2005, Kiessling became professor of Media Art at the Akademie für Bildende Künste of Johannes Gutenberg Universität in Mainz / Germany.
