In simultaneously documentary and heavily staged works in film and photography, Antje Engelmann (*1980 in Ulm / Germany, lives in Berlin) takes her own biography as a starting point to address questions of family background, social belonging, cultural conditioning, and identity. In this way, she explores family memory on an individual level and the culture of remembrance and historical consciousness as a whole.
