Andreas Troeger
Andreas Troeger (*1961 in Munich, lives in New York) studied at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film Munich and moved to New York after graduating in 1992. In the early 1990s, he collaborated with Nam June Paik and Paul Garrin, as well as with the avant-garde filmmakers Nick Zedd and Iara Lee. His videos and installations critically examine the medium of the moving image and the dissemination of images in mass media. He combines found footage, including documentary material, with sequences of his own recordings, and employs stylistic techniques of post-production and digital image editing.
