Norbert Meissner

Freely based on the biblical story of Pentecost, where the borders between the languages are abolished, in Norbert Meissner’s Pfingsten an electronic miracle of superimposition and transference takes place. Beginning with a TV newswoman, where at best fragments of meaning and visual semantics can be deciphered, Meissner, using a text by Michel Serres and music by Heiner Goebbels, shows that noise lies at the foundation of Pentecost.
