Corinne Wasmuht
Corinne Wasmuth (*1964 in Dortmund, living and working in Berlin), from 1983 to 1992, studied at the Kunstakademie Dusseldorf with Alfonso Hüppi. In 2002 / 2003, she was a visiting professor at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe and, since 2006, is a professor of painting there. She was represented in international exhibitions, such as: Berlin Akademie der Künste (2014); 54th Venice Biennale (2011); Saatchi Gallery, London (2011); Kunstraum Innsbruck (2011); Friedrich Petzel Gallery, New York (2008); Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin (2006). Wasmuht, who usually paints large-format pictures, for Neuer Berliner Kunstverein for the first time created five small-format crayon drawings, in which subsequently applied circles and lines unite to form perspectival motifs.
