Open-air screening of select works from the n.b.k. Video-Forum collection at Uferhallen in conjunction with the 2023 Kultursommerfestival. Featuring the world premiere of YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES’ new work, A CRISIS OF EVERYTHING AND NOTHING.

Founded in 1971 on the initiative of artists and cultural producers, the n.b.k. Video-Forum at Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.) is the oldest and one of the largest video art collections in Europe, with 1,700 works of international video art. In cooperation with Uferhallen e.V. and in conjunction with the Kultursommerfestival 2023, a curated public screening of works from the collection will take place outdoors at Uferhallen. Refreshments will be available at a summer bar.

The open-air screening concludes How to Stay Tuned – an extensive, daylong program open to the public and free of charge. From 3 pm onwards, artists at Uferhallen warmly welcome the public to explore their studios. Curator Adrienne Goehler will lead a tour of the exhibition currently on view in the large hall, titled Zur Nachahmung empfohlen! / Examples to Follow! A performance by David Brandstätter will later take place in the Uferhallen courtyard, followed by the performance This Space In Between by Kallia Kefala across the street in the Uferstudios courtyard.

The curated open-air screening will commence at dusk, showcasing works from the n.b.k. Video-Forum by Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz, K. H. Hödicke, Anetta Mona Chişa & Lucia Tkáčová, Rosalia Müller / Michael Geißler, Kristina Paustian, Rotraut Pape, and the world premiere of a new work by YOUNG-HAE CHANG HEAVY INDUSTRIES.
