Feminismus Symposium. f******* – Towards New Perspectives on Feminism
Feminism, Politics and Precarious Economics

Discussion with Claudia Gather (prof. Sociology, Berlin School of Economics and Law), Hanna Rosin (writer, journalist, Washington D.C.; Author The End of Men: And the Rise of Women) and Deborah Ruggieri (cultural scientist, Gender AG Attac, Berlin), moderated by Angela McRobbie (Prof. Communications, Goldsmiths University London; author Top Girls: (Un)Doing Feminism)
With an artistic comment by Kirsten Palz (artist, Berlin)

In the media landscape the battle over a new, renewed, reborn, or doomed feminism seems more ferocious than ever. Frontlines run between aspiration and conscience, historicity and critique, prejudice and fear, complains and anger. The project f******* aims to analyse and discuss present and future battlefields on an interdisciplinary basis from different perspectives. The program consists of a three-day symposium, an exhibition, a concert and a newspaper campaign.

A project of Espace Surplus (Berlin) together with Goldsmiths University London in cooperation with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung and Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (n.b.k.)

The complete symposium is documented in a DVD-set and available at n.b.k.
