Past Future Split Attention
1972, 00:17:18, NTSC, black/white, sound, G007 01
With video performances, Graham continues the engagement with the historical, social, and ideological functions of social practice that he began in the 1960s. Past Future Split Attention takes up Graham’s psychosocial and space-time investigations of the interaction between performers and audience. In installations, which often operate with closed-circuit video or time-delay, he also takes up an interest in television as sign of (sub) urban consumer and entertainment culture.
