After diverse experimental-abstract works, Marsch-Menschen. 13 geht is the first work by Hulverscheidt from the collection that foregrounds a political subject. The artist uses material that he filmed himself as well as found footage of infantry from parades and military confrontations and composes a unique montage of movement that oscillates between threat and ironic commentary. Later, he primarily made works on socially relevant subjects.
