Hámos co-funded Berlin’s first international video magazine Infermental. In early works he deconstructs the heroes of popular culture. Hámos’ first documentary Golda & Roza tells the story of the reunion of Hámos’ Hungarian grandmother with her sister, thought lost, who emigrated to the US. Alongside images of their first meeting after over eighty years, Hámos works with historical film material from Hungary and the USA, but also current images from the first Iraq war.
