The video begins with a grainy image of two men waiting at a station or airport hallway, they are relatively still, and unaware of being watched. This scene returns repeatedly throughout the work, spliced occasionally with an obscure green image, like a piercing chord in a pattern of regular sounds. The image of a man waiting and yawning also repeats throughout the video. Sandra Becker succeeds in capturing the real life timing of situations, things happening slowly and repeatedly. She captures life s natural patterns and rhythms and communicates these nuances in a mesmerising simplicity. (lg)
