Biography
Takehito Koganezawa’s (b. 1974 in Tokyo, living in Berlin) videos, drawings, installations and performances are characterized by a poetic approach to everyday occurrences and observations. Time, emptiness, movement, materiality, sounds and rhythms are central subjects, which he explores in his work, expressing them in a versatile way with allegorical images, in order to create new imaginary spaces.
Solo exhibitions include: Haus am Waldsee, Berlin (2011); Langen Foundation, Neuss (2011); Hiromi Yoshi, Tokyo (2009); Haus Konstruktiv, Zurich (2009); MIMOCA, Kagawa (2009); Kanagawa Prefectural Gallery, Yokohama (2008); Qbox, Athens (2008). Group exhibitions and biennials include: NGBK, Berlin (2012); Aichi Triennale (2010); Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2010); Biennale for International Light Art, Unna (2010); 2nd Asian Art Biennale, Taichung (2009); Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo (2009).


Video Of The Month
In 2011, the series Video Of The Month, curated by Kathrin Becker, presented international artists from outside the collection. Since 2012, selected works of the n.b.k. collection can be seen online here. The emphasis is placed on young video art from Berlin that reflects the international art scene, and thematically underscores the emphases of the collection. Parallel to the presentation on the website, Video Of The Month will also be screened in the space of Video-Forum.
