The two-part video Liv shows first of all the lifeworld, the everyday surroundings of the actors, to reflect on the phenomena of aesthetics and its conditionality as well as questions of the conditions of artistic production. Liv is not a linear narrative but consists of brief statements about the present with formal similarities to the films of the New Wave. Klaßen’s video work marks an unusual and unique approach to combining content and form.
