Heiner Mühlenbrock

Heiner Mühlenbrock (*1953 in Gelsenkirchen / Germany, lives in Berlin) is a photographer, filmmaker, and screenwriter for numerous films and television series. In his filmic work, he often uses found footage of film fragments that are transformed into new contexts of meaning by the way they are used – for example, by arranging them in a new sequence or setting them to a completely strange sound. Together with Christine Domkowski (*1949 in Berlin, lives in Zurich), who developed her own films, photographs and text works in addition to numerous activities for film and television productions, a collaborative work was created in the 1980s.
