In 1972, Hooykaas and Stansfield began their collaborative work on fragile video textures where a constant transition between mental and referential images insures a great permeability of associations and moods. In The Force Behind Its Movement the artists take a contemplative look at the textures of the planet earth, at snowy landscapes and water currents, at surfaces, whose structures, impressionistically refracted, become visible in Point of Orientation.
