Yoked Control is a term from the natural sciences referring to a second control in an experiment. (e.) Twin Gabriel takes this term as the starting point for a double performance in which the two main figures become blotches of color in a “chemical” reaction. In Belle indifférence, which shows the highly pregnant Else Gabriel as a “mother monster” in urban space, the artist couple works with comic defamiliarizations of spatial experience and perspectivization.
