Walter Schröder-Limmer

DebatteVideosynthesizer

In the 1970s, Schröder-Limmer already works with the possibilities offered by the video synthesizer. In Debatte, found footage material of the Guillaume affair (1974), which caused the resignation of Chancellor Willy Brandt, are treated using a vocoder and video synthesizer. Fragments of discussions around the affair are fragmented and layered on top of one another. Since 1984, the pioneer of video music and algorithmic composition has no longer been working with imaging techniques, but only with electronic sound.
