Michael Busch

Das Unbewegliche

While Busch today primarily makes feature films, his early video works were shaped by documentary, whereby the found-footage material is subjectivized to pursue a “diary like approach.” Thematically speaking, his works touch on the complex of memory, remembering, and forgetting. In Das Unbewegliche he uses damaged photographs and film material, exploring the aspects of movement, immobility, and the process of perception of motion.
