Kai Zimmer

End of the Story3 Minutes in America

End of the Story combines the ends of films with musical accompaniment, where we can read “The End,” “Ende,” or “Fin,” but does so in a way that creates a film narrative with an adequate feeling of suspense. At the center of Zimmer’s work is the use of found footage, which he combines in a collage-like fashion. Film genres, for example Westerns, thrillers, or the road movie, but also the visual language of television and the commercial music clip are reflected upon, ironically treated, and commented on critically in his work.
