During their collaboration in 1970, these two pioneers of video art explored the possibilities of manipulating the electronic image, also using the video synthesizer, which had just then been developed by Paik and Shuya Abe. In Beatles Electroniques, they used found footage (including a Beatles concert from the 1960s). The audiovisual electro-magnetic manipulations make the original songs unrecognizable in favor of a strangely beautiful new art.
