Axel Klepsch

Wo? Da!

Shoes, feet, footsteps: using just a few visual motives and the linked noises, in Wo? Da! Klepsch develops a video poem that works with repetition and variation: the sequence of shots, on their own rather mundane, becomes increasingly insistent, whereby the medium video refers to itself. Initially strongly influenced by Nam June Paik, Klepsch shows the electronic equivalent of a sound poem: he makes concrete poetry using split screens and stroboscopic effects.
