Jens Ziehe
Jens Ziehe (*1966 in Eckernförde, living and working in Berlin), since 1989, is a freelance photographer in Berlin. He studied photography at Lette-Verein in Berlin. In the early stages, Ziehe worked as a photographer particularly for newspapers and magazines, and was regarded as a photographer of Berlin’s emerging art scene of the 1990s. Today he works for museums, galleries, private collections, artists' studios and other institutions, including Hamburger Bahnhof, Neue Nationalgalerie, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Berggruen Collection, Sammlung Hoffmann, Galerie neugerriemschneider, Galerie Sprüth Magers, Willem de Rooij, Olafur Eliasson, Isa Genzken. From the extensive oeuvre of Ziehe, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein offers artist portraits of Franz Ackermann, Hartmut Bitomsky, Armin Boehm, Jennifer Bornstein, Olafur Eliasson, Valérie Favre, Dan Graham, Mike Nelson, Karin Sander and Thomas Scheibitz, which are ranging between life style and magazine style, photojournalism and classic portraiture.
