With Klaus Staeck (artist, president of Akademie der Künste, Berlin) and Marius Babias (n.b.k. director)

Klaus Staeck is a artist and graphic designer. Since 2006, he has been president of the Academy of Arts in Berlin. In 1965, Staeck founded the producers’ press “Edition Tangente” (now “Edition Staeck”), which, since the late 1960s, has released multiples by international artists. Since the early 1970s, Klaus Staeck has been known as a graphic artist. His oeuvre so far includes about 300 posters, which largely consist of photomontages, annotated with his own ironic comments. In 1973, he was chairman of the association Free International University (FIU) and set up the initiative called Aktionen für mehr Demokratie Klaus Staeck took part in the documenta 5 (1972), documenta 6 (1977), documenta 7 (1982) and documenta 8 (1987). In 2009, a retrospective was dedicated to him at Berlinische Galerie, titled Schöne Aussichten.
